BlackBerry The 'On the Edge'

  Research in Motion (RIM) continues to experience a negative trend in terms of sales of the BlackBerry. Because, in the last quarterly report in 2011, the Canadian handset continue to decline which impact on RIM's market share loss in the United States (U.S.).

In a recent report, BlackBerry sales in the past three months, which ended in November, declined by 16.6 percent, from 19.7 percent previously. While the result of the downturn, Google's Android and Apple get a big advantage. Thus the results of the research firm comScore.

According to comScore, Android become the top smartphone platform in the U.S. with the amount of market share of 46.9 percent at the end of November, which experienced a rise of 43.8 from the previous quarter. So that was launched by NDTV, Friday (30/12/2011).

Apple's market share also increased during that period with the increase of 1.4 percentage points from 28.7 percent. Microsoft, enter the smartphone market with nilan decreased to 5.2 percent from 5.7 percent.

ComScore said that as many as 234 million people in the U.S. using mobile devices and 91.4 million who use smartphones. LG is the next position with 20.5 percent, down from 21.0 percent, followed by Motorola with 13.7 percent, down from 14.0 percent
